Now in its third year, the BTF/MLB Equipment Day initiative again had a record-breaking season. For the first time, organizations in all MLB markets benefited from the collections. As it has each season, the initiative continued to build upon its previous success. With one Club yet to report results, the totals have already surpassed those from 2006, with over 14,000 pieces of equipment and almost $40,000 collected. Including the Baseball Tomorrow fund grants, youth organizations around the country received nearly $185,000 to purc
hase new baseball and softball equipment.
Non-profit and tax-exempt youth baseball and softball programs that need financial assistance to increase participation are encouraged to apply for BTF grants. Information about the Baseball Tomorrow Fund, including an updated applicant form and grant writing assistance, can be found at http://www.baseballtomorrowfund.com/. Letters of inquiry are accepted on a continuous basis.
